A day for Tammy...

Up at 3am, out by 5...today was another fun day with the 3 babies.  I woke up well rested.  I know what you're thinking.  How can you be well rested when waking up at 3am?  I really don't know.  By the time I fell asleep it was 11pm.  So, roughly 4 hours of sleep... I just felt completely refreshed for some odd reason.

The twins woke up at 7am on the dot, they were talking to each other through rooms.  It was so silly.  Little Lana continued to sleep in her car seat, so I left her alone.  While Toby hung out in the crib peeking through the bars, Brianna sat on the floor by the crib quietly playing with her new rattle.  Then out of no where, the both started laughing hysterically at the same time.  I watched them and was wondering what the joke was that I missed.  They got quiet and then looked at each other and did it again.  It was so funny, that I couldn't help, but laugh myself.  This is the moments that make it all worth while to watch these adorable babies.

To me it seemed like the babies had a private conversation and made a pact to let Tammy have a quiet day with her Auntie. (Tammy is my older niece).  The girl babies took turns being up, and Toby slept most of the day.  They were unbelievable quiet.  At the end of the day, Tammy just seemed so happy to spend the day with me playing guitar hero, and watching her possible Camp DVD.  We unlocked some cool songs that was super cool to her.  As I left she ask when I would be back in hopes that it would be sooner then later.  I hope to be able to spend more time with her.  One weekend I'll take her to my place and play some Wii here.  I'm sure that'll make her day.

All in all, want to thank the babies for being good for Tammy. <3

Another view on shopping...

Usually we go to the stores and look for stuff we need, and pick up stuff that we might need, and then we see the "ohhhh I like that" stuff.  Well, things get worse when you have a baby.  You start seeing the "awww my baby would like this" stuff, which happens to me 3 times worse now that I have three babies my mind.

Today was a fun morning with the 3 kids, and  then I decided to go to Target and use some of the coupons I had that were going to expire by the end of the month,   you know the stuff we might need, lol.  It was going just fine, Lana was fast asleep in the stroller the whole time, so I had the freedom of just rooming around...then I got to the baby section,  I wanted to get this for Lana, that for Brianna, oh and this for Toby.  I had to stop myself... I could not afford all this right now.  Then of course I saw a sale of the gerber  goodies that the twins like, and then saw some Valentine's Day clothes, and then of cooooourse the clearance rack!  A soft fluffy pink blankey with a huge Lady bug, $3.24!!! I "NEED" that!!! Well, after the rattle for Brianna, some receiving blankets that my mom wants at her place for the kids, diapers, wipes, and formula.... I realized I didn't go there for this! I went to save money with coupons, when in reality I should've just stayed home and saved my money.

Then you start thinking, what about me??? LOL  I don't even have the desire to look at stuff for myself anymore.  I always used to wonder why my mom would never buy herself new clothes.  Now I know!  It's because you'd rather spend that extra dollar on your baby then yourself.  But honestly, does that make ANY sense???  Our clothes, adult clothes that is, last us years; baby stuff last us a few months! And babies loose interest in toys quickly when they have too many to play with.  They should have a few favorites and call it a day.  Like that will happen nowadays with all the CUTE new things out for babies.  How did people survive before this stuff was invented?

No more shopping for me! (yeahhhh right!)

A little bit about the kids

Oldest to Youngest:

Toby: A wonderful little Mama's boy! Some say he is spoiled, some say he just loves to be loved. Well, I say he's a perfect little man. He wants it his way all the time. He gets jealous easily, but of course that would be the case if everyone ohhhhs & ahhhs over the his pretty little sister! He is not yet standing on his own, nor does he seem to have the desire for it. It gives him a reason to cry for attention, lol. He's fun! His smile fills your heart with all the joy, his eyes are endless of love & happiness, and when he's fed he tells you exactly how much he enjoys his food. A very entertaining boy.

Brianna: Is a simple, beautiful wonder. The only time she cries is if she's hungry. That's easy enough. She fights her sleep because she's going to grow up to be a party animal. It seems like she is holding back her secrets with her deep thinking. You always have to wonder what is she thinking about. When she's in her happy mood it's so fun to watch her dance to the music, or jump up and down. My prediction is she will be walking in about 2 months max.

Lana: The baby of them all. Being 5 months younger then the twins, she is trying to catch up with them. She is alert and learning from them every time they are together. She is just a couple of weeks shy of 5 months and is almost holding her bottle by herself. She is full of smiles, and is such a people person. Toys are starting to excite her lately. She now knows how to roll over from her tummy to her back when she wants, and is a little more independent with entertaining herself.

The beginning of some great memories...

After a 3 month maternity leave, I just didn't know if it was worth the stress to go back to work. Between the early mornings, crazy daycare fees, price of formula, and not enough take home cash I sat at home day and night stressing over how I just don't think it's worth going back, but I decided to try it out anyway. That was until my boss called and delayed me coming an extra week. I then lost my daycare spot and could not afford a personal sitter. Now I for sure could not go back, but what was I suppose to do???

My sister contacted me and asked if I would be willing to watch her 9-month-old twins whenever she needs. Her kids were getting too heavy to carry to the sitter in the freezing cold. She was tired of carrying them both (at the same time) up 2 flights of stairs, and not getting enough sleep.

A little back ground, my sister is an RN and works from 7pm-7am, she gets home at about 8am and then has to take her 9 year old to school. She doesn’t get much sleep because of her crazy routine.

I of course agreed to watch my niece, Brianna, and nephew, Toby, with my daughter, Lana, coming along for the fun.

The catch: I am needed 5:30am to 1:30pm! That means I wake up @ 3am to get Lana and myself ready. Leave the house by 4:45am, and get there by 5:30am.

And this is where the fun begins! <3
