Yesterday was my big sister's birthday. She wanted everyone to go out to eat at a restaurant, and so we did. We had such a great time. It's been such a long time since we all got together like this, so it meant a lot to be all together.
Lana was sleeping when we arrived and the twins were sitting on each side of my mom. That was entertaining on it's own, but then Lana woke up and my mom wanted to hold her. So, let's try and picture this... Toby, Mom holding Lana, and Brianna. Sounds simple, but definitely did not look simple. Brianna seemed so excited to see Lana that she decided to climb out the high chair to get a bit closer. She was holding on to my mom for stability while she got a little closer to her little cousin. A few screams here and there, a few rubbing of the eyes, and a few cries.... and then at the end we all could say we survived and had a good time. With lots of people watching us throughout the night and lots of compliments of our simply gorgeous kids. This was a night I could never forget!
Happy Birthday big sister! Last year your birthday marked the first time we saw Lana (in a sonogram) and she took her first picture. This year it's the whole family out together, first in a long time. I wonder what next year will bring us. =D By the way! CONGRATS on the RING! =D So happy you're happy!
They are going to be ONE in just a couple of weeks and I just can not believe how fast this year went, and how quickly they grew up. Toby is such an emotional boy, and I don't care what people say... he is the most adorable little boy I know. Brianna is a little bully to him, and so mature for her age. I say let them be who they are. It is fun watching them be themselves. =) And this picture says it all. =P
